It's All About The Flowers - Chelsea

It’s the time of year where the flowers are in full bloom, the birds are singing and thousands of budding horticulturists descend on one of the many wondrous flower shows for inspiration from the top artisan gardeners in the world.

RHS Chelsea Flower Show

The RHS Chelsea Flower Show is the place to see cutting-edge garden design, new ideas and find ideas to take home. Held in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, London since 1913 this prestigious show holds a special place in the hearts and minds of many an enthusiast.

There will be plenty to see with over 30 specialist gardens created within 3 acres, from the fantastical to the poignant these masterworks need to be seen to be appreciated. Among the extraordinary vistas thousands of trade stands join together to create the biggest garden centre in the world.

All told this remarkable event brings together like minded people from all over the country to socialise and appreciate the exceptional craftsmanship on display. This year will also be made all the more special with a celebration of HM the Queen’s 90th birthday including photographic exhibits and a floral arch.

Hampton Court Palace Flower Show

The world’s biggest annual flower show opens its doors on Tuesday 5th July in 2016 at the beautiful Hampton Court Palace. Flanking both sides of the Long Water you can guests can enjoy Show Gardens, the Rose Marquee, Floral Marquee, plant pavilions and attend a variety of talks, demonstrations and exhibits.

Although a relative newcomer to the Horticulture scene when you consider the show was first held in 1990, it has gone on to become the premier flower show in the world with an average of 130,000 people attending every year.

Be inspired this year with talks and demonstrations from celebrity gardeners, shop for plants and smell the roses, or just take in the awe inspiring show gardens, whatever you do be sure to attend this wonderful cultural event in 2016.
