The 3rd Duke of Richmond was match-racing his horses with the King and their friends at Goodwood more than 200 years ago and the heritage of excellent sport and glamorous entertainment lives on. At the five-day July Festival, affectionately known as Glorious Goodwood, all the elements of a great event collide; it’s the glamour of top class racing mixed with the outstanding beauty of the racecourse, set high up on the Downs, and the famously stylish dress code that makes Glorious Goodwood unquestionably the chicest invitation of the summer’s social and racing calendar.

A glass-fronted, course facing restaurant on the first floor of the Charlton Stand, popular for small groups of 2, 4, 6, 10 or 12. Its balcony offers head-on views of the racing and the horse walk below. A tipster will run through the race card at lunchtime.

Horseshoe Pavilions:

A tented hospitality village situated within the Richmond Enclosure.  The Horseshoe Pavilions have a unique café atmosphere with a Jazz band to entertain guests during the afternoon.  Set beyond the Winning Post they are just a short stroll away from the Richmond Lawn.  Bookings can be made for 24 – 30 guests.
