Goodwood Revival Meeting 2008

Goodwood Revival Meeting 2008
Friday 19th - Sunday 21th September

The Goodwood Revival presents motor racing as it used to be: a magical step back in time to when Goodwood was the social and spiritual home of British motor racing.  The arrival of faster Formula One cars in 1966 meant that the circuit had to close, but 32 years later the Earl of March re-opened it and created the only sporting event in the world held entirely to a period theme.  As Murray Walker put it

“Goodwood closes its gates on the modern world for three wonderful days”.

BRABHAM PAVILION

New in 2007 this facility is situated next to the Clark Pavilion and includes a pianist for your entertainment.  It not only allows guests access to the track side viewing lawn, but also the perimeter of the Racing Car Assembly Area joining on to the Drivers’ Club.  This makes it perfect for autograph hunters and celebrity spotting.

Bookings of 4 upwards can be made.

SALVADORI PAVILION

This new elevated structure with balcony occupies a prestigious position on the inside of the circuit by the chicane.  Views of Lavant Straight, Woodcote Corner, chicane and down towards the startline will make this one of the most desirable locations for entertaining.

Bookings of 4 upwards can be made.

Friday is a busy day of official practice with all cars and motorcycles taking to the track so competitors can familiarise themselves with the challenging track and strive for the best starting grid position.

Saturday is a spectacular day of historic motor sport in the most authentic surroundings.  A full programme of exceptional racing action features throughout the day and one of the highlights is sure to be the Brooklands Trophy.

Sunday is all racing, with great battles on the track.  The world’s rarest, fastest, most beautiful and most valuable historic racing cars compete.  The day ends with a prize giving ceremony on the grid.
